Discover the spanish cuisine

Spain is one of the largest countries in Europe. Its 17 communities are distinguished by their traditions, customs, feast and gastronomy. The Spanish cuisine is part of the Mediterranean cuisine but with different characteristics. It is characterized by the use of potato, varied spices and many vegetables. It uses many ingredients from the coast, like fish and seafood and from the interior like meats, cheeses and sausages. Spanish cuisine has great influence from the people who conquered its territories as well as from the people who were colonized. The Spanish gastronomy varies widely from region to region but there are some common characteristics, in which it stands out: the use of oil as a cooking fat, bread and wine as an accompaniment in meals, among others . Regardless of the Spanish region visited, it is common to offer tapas when ordering a drink, which can range from cheese, chips, peanuts, bread and ham, a slice of tortilla , among others. When it comes to meal times, it is common to see people leaving around 11:00 a.m. of their jobs to have coffee with churros, have a cake or something else. Since breakfast is late, lunch is also served later. The Spanish lunch schedule is generally from 2 pm to 4 pm and dinner times are usually between 8 pm and 10 am.
