About the Galician language
Galician is one of the four languages spoken in Spain, also called Gallego. This regional language is spoken by millions of people not only from Spain but from several countries in South America. Gallego is not the same as Spanish or Portuguese, it's a different language with distinctive characteristics. The Galician words survived the period of dictator Franco.
